A story at Necessary Fiction
I took part in a series at Necessary Fiction, where they " invited past contributors to share one of their earliest stories and some thoughts on how it relates to their writing now". The story is called "The Favorite Daughter" and I wrote it nearly two decades ago. I find it embarrassing, frankly, but I think that was sort of the point of the project, so here it is. Thank you Steve Himmer, the editor, for inviting me to participate.
